Liproxstatin-1 is an azaspiro compound that is 1'H-spiro[piperidine-4,2'-quinoxaline] in which the hydrogen at position 3' is replaced by a (3-chlorobenzyl)amino group. It is a potent inhibitor of ferroptosis. It has a role as a ferroptosis inhibitor, an antioxidant, a radical scavenger and a cardioprotective agent. It is an organic heterotricyclic compound, an azaspiro compound, a secondary amino compound and a member of monochlorobenzenes.
