Prochloraz is a member of the class of ureas that is 1H-imidazole-1-carboxamide substituted by a propyl and a 2-(2,4,6-trichlorophenoxy)ethyl group at the amino nitrogen atom. A fungicide active against a wide range of diseases affecting field crops, fruit, turf and vegetables. It has a role as a xenobiotic, an EC 1.14.13.70 (sterol 14alpha-demethylase) inhibitor, an environmental contaminant and an antifungal agrochemical. It is a member of imidazoles, a trichlorobenzene, an aromatic ether, a member of ureas, an amide fungicide, a conazole fungicide and an imidazole fungicide.
