Suberosol is a tetracyclic triterpenoid that is 24-methylidenelanosta-7,9(11)-diene substituted by hydroxy groups at positions 3 and 15 (3beta,15alpha stereoisomer). Isolated from Polyalthia suberosa, it exhibits anti-HIV activity. It has a role as a metabolite and an anti-HIV agent. It is a diol and a tetracyclic triterpenoid. It derives from a hydride of a lanostane.
