The automatic adhesion tester is a portable, hand-operated device that measures the force required to pull a specifiic test diameter of coating from the substrate using hydraulic pressure. The measured pressure is displayed on the 5-inch touch screen and represents the adhesion strength of the coating to the substrate. This device evaluates the adhesion (peel strength) of a coating by determining the maximum tensile force it can withstand before it peels off. The automatic adhesion tester visualises fractures caused by cracks along the weakest layer in the system of carrier, adhesive, coating layers and substrate.Equipped with an electronically controlled hydraulic pump, our automatic adhesion tester enables precise and repeatable application of the required tensile force.
