The colour viewing box is a simulation instrument which is mainly used in quality control. The colour viewing box accurately simulates illuminants and thus enables the direct comparison of products which must have special colour characteristics. The colour viewing box PCE-CIC 10-LED supports six possible illuminants. These illuminants are included as standard: "A/F", "D65", "TL84/F11", "UV", "CWF" and "TL83/U30".Metamerism can thus be avoided by using a colour viewing box. As a support during the measurement, the colour viewing box has an hour counter which makes it easier for the user to adhere to the recommended operating time of the lamps. The illuminant is selected by the user independently by the touch of a key.
