Trans-dec-2-enoyl-CoA is an unsaturated fatty acyl-CoA that results from the formal condensation of the thiol group of coenzyme A with the carboxy group of trans-dec-2-enoic acid. It has a role as a mouse metabolite and an Escherichia coli metabolite. It is a monounsaturated fatty acyl-CoA, a trans-2-enoyl-CoA and a medium-chain fatty acyl-CoA. It is functionally related to a coenzyme A and a trans-2-decenoic acid. It is a conjugate acid of a trans-dec-2-enoyl-CoA(4-).
