Dihydroxanthohumol is a member of the class of dihydrochalcones that is the alpha,beta-dihydro derivative of xanthohumol. Isolated from Humulus lupulus, it exhibits inhibition of NO production. It has a role as a metabolite and an EC 1.14.13.39 (nitric oxide synthase) inhibitor. It is a polyphenol, an aromatic ether and a member of dihydrochalcones.
