SU11274 is a member of the class of oxindoles that is 1,3-dihydro-2H-indol-2-one substituted by {3,5-dimethyl-4-[(4-methylpiperazin-1-yl)carbonyl]-1H-pyrrol-2-yl}methylidene and N-(3-chlorophenyl)-N-methylmethanesulfonyl groups at positions 3 and 5, respectively. It is a potent ATP-competitive inhibitor of c-Met (IC50 = 20 nM) and exhibits antineoplastic activity. It has a role as an autophagy inducer, an antineoplastic agent, an apoptosis inducer and a c-Met tyrosine kinase inhibitor.
