TTK21 is a secondary carboxamide resulting from the formal condensation of the carboxy group of 2-propoxybenzoic acid with the amino group of 4-chloro-3-(trifluoromethyl)aniline. It is an activator of the histone acetyltransferases CBP/p300 that passes the blood-brain barrier, induces no toxicity, and reaches different parts of the brain when conjugated to glucose-based carbon nanospheres. It has a role as a nootropic agent and a histone acetyltransferase activator. It is a secondary carboxamide, a member of benzamides, an aromatic ether, a member of monochlorobenzenes and a member of (trifluoromethyl)benzenes.
