Toyocamycin is an N-glycosylpyrrolopyrimidine that is tubercidin in which the hydrogen at position 5 of the pyrrolopyrimidine moiety has been replaced by a cyano group. It has a role as an antimetabolite, an antineoplastic agent, an apoptosis inducer and a bacterial metabolite. It is a ribonucleoside, a nitrile, a N-glycosylpyrrolopyrimidine and an antibiotic antifungal agent.
