Ro 25-6981 maleate is the maleic acid salt of Ro 25-6981. It is a potent and selective antagonist of GluN2B-containing NMDA receptors. It has a role as an antidepressant, an anticonvulsant, a NMDA receptor antagonist and a neuroprotective agent. It contains a Ro 25-6981(1+).
