Benazepril hydrochloride is a hydrochloride salt resulting from the reaction of benazepril with 1 mol eq. of hydrogen chloride. It is used as a prodrug for angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor benazeprilat in the treatment of hypertension and heart failure.
