Leucopterin (keto form) is a member of the class of pterins that is 3,4,5,6,7,8-hexahydropteridine substituted by an amino group at position 2 and oxo groups at positions 4, 6 and 7. It is a pigment found in the wings of butterflies. It has a role as a biological pigment and an animal metabolite. It is a tautomer of a leucopterin (enol form).
